70% African Americans and 58% of Hispanic Americans have little to no knowledge of swimming. We must change that. Our lives depend on it. Prince Georges  County pool this summer, African-American kid was drowning, his uncle jumped in to save him–they both drowned! Earlier this summer in Washington, DC area several Hispanic-American teens drowned trying to save each other while their parents watched because they couldn’t swim either. My, my.  This is a life skill we MUST acquire.
