Your book is amazing!!
CHRISTINA WRITES: I Say A Prayer For Me, changed my life!!! I
am married to a minister who is one that ministers in the streets. I myself have never been addicted to alcohol nor street drugs, unlike my husband who not only was addicted but was a drug dealer.
Your book I CRIED through, I felt like I knew you!! Not only that you helped me understand women who are in addictions and abuse. THANK YOU. I felt I was with you everystep of the way. I grew that year as a ministers wife and I believe a very compassionate and understanding person when it comes to those who are in situations that are devestating no matter how they got into them.
My heart ached for you past when i read it. THANK YOU for your honesty. I feel like I know you. So many times I have ministered from your book.
I am about to move to _____ and plan on using your book. I want to start a book club with women who are in the same sitations. But the books we read are based around the struggles.
I couldn’t put it down, the prayers became a part of my life as well.
One of my favorite paragraphs ~ written in my bible:
“Trust God and let Him show you your uniqueness in Him. There is something that only you were born to bring to the world. Let go of your preconceived notions of what that may be and allow God to bring to fruition His glorious plan for your life that is far greater that anything that you could, think, ask, or imagine. fall back into the arms of God. Trust and don’t be afraid.”
Thank you again. I love you dearly, you touched my heart so much. Love, Christine
STANICE RESPONDS: Hello there, Christine. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences with my memoir, I Say A Prayer For Me. It means so much. God promised me long before i finished the manuscript that He would meet each reader within the words, your testimony is yet another witness that He kept and continues to keep His Word. It would mean so much if you posted some comments on its page on amazon.com. The readers reviews make such a difference. Plus, the date you’re leaving it shows that it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Ageless truths as God revealed to us.
I am so happy for you and the life you’ve found in Him. Also please say a prayer for me. I’m praying that God makes a way for me to republish the book. It went out of print; but because of Don Piper’s, the author of 90 Days in Heaven, counsel (we were speakers at the same event a few years ago), I wrote to WWP/Warner Books and got the rights reverted back to me. So I can republish through my own company, Shout Glory LLC.) While I was so sad it had gone out of print, Mr. Piper assured me that God was blessing me even in that. ”Now, you can re-publish and they won’t have control.”
So, that is what I’m believing God for. the means to republish.
In the meantime, my son (little mike – now big mike) & I just co-published my 2nd memoir, Walking On Water When The Ground Ain’t Enuf. He was also managing editor on the project, publicist and my manager.
On another note, God also restored my relationship with my mom. In spite of her difficulty accepting that I wrote I Say A Prayer For Me. She was so hurt and bitter about me “telling your business,” that a wedge that only God could have closed, kept us apart–emotionally for years. She said, “I’ll never read anything you ever write again.”
But with prayer, forgiveness and time, God has given us a relationship that I always yearned for. I promised her that there was nothing in my new book that could possibly hurt her. She trusted me, even to the point where she is walking on water with my son and I. Mom actually invested money in this new book.
We sent her a copy. For real, I was scared to take it to her; not absolutely sure of her response, cause I still write from my personal experiences–that’s what I do. But within a week, she called late one night and since I wasn’t home she left a voice mail. Imagine as I listened. ”This is your mom.” Hesitation, then she gleefully announced, “This book is absolutely wonderful. I love it and I love you. You really are a writer and I come to know you better with each book you write. You and Mike did a great job! You’ve really got it together. It’s beautiful. I am so proud of both of you.” A 4real walking on water (WOW) moment for both of us.
Walking On Water When The Ground Ain’t Enuf is available wherever books and eBooks are sold; but if you want a personalized signed copy, order from my website at www.TryWalkingOnWater.com. Include the name(s) of who you want book(s) signed to and I will mail to you right away.
Again, thank you! I pray that God’s extreme favor saturates your life and the lives of those you touch. Amen. So be it!
PS, I am hoping to come to Tallahassee in the Spring, not sure how far that is from where you will be living. But perhaps, while I’m there we can work it out where I can come your way and share my testimony and perform some of my monologues and spokentry with a group, church or other organization in your area. Let’s see what God will do.
Love and blessings galore, Stanice
Is it okay if I share your testimony about the book, anonymously — changing your name to “Christine” and NOT linking to your page so no one knows that is you?
CHRISTINA RESPONDS: Thanks for writing back so soon. I will keep both books in prayer, but ur 1st one YES needs to be reprinted!!!!
As for my testimony of the book u may use it, no need to change my name or link. We are always to give account for the joy we have and ur book played a role in that. The powerful testimony that it blesses everyone, even those who have never been addicted it taught me compassion and no I may not personally feel what that life was like, because of the richness and vividness in ur writing I feel like I walked along side u. I read it about every 6 months to remind that this is what I am ministering to, there is hope of deliverance for people bound and hurting.
It was ironic, ur story makes me very protective to others. I went to the jail today to take money to a young boy 18 yrs old. The mail man brought a bunch of packages: I had said, to the clerk “look at all that love being sent their way.” This cop behind me said,” yeah, too bad the people behind those bars don’t love them enough to stay out of here. “. I just about lost it, I didn’t know whether to cry or holler
But I did say some choice godly words with a little spice added
“Don’t judge nobody, until u walk in their shoes, these people need compassion, love and constructive help, not criticism!! A lot of them are in here due to hurts they have, being a victim! Remember it is because of God u aren’t behind those bars!! You just as tempted to sin like everyone else, some are just weaker then others.” Of course, he left without words to say
lol
Use any of my words, Papa is good. I will check out new book and add a comment to amazon;) love u stanice, ur my home-girl for real – connected in the streets by the blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the word of our testimony.
blessings, Christina
