Walking On Water When the Ground Ain’t Enuf: A One-Woman Show
Walking On Water When the Ground Ain’t Enuf (WOW) is a 60-75 minute inspirational, interactive multi-media performance piece rooted in true-life stories weaved together with video clips, humor, visual art, songs, spoken word, and poetry bathed in music. This combination makes for an entertaining one-woman show that encourages, uplifts and builds self-esteem and faith.Written and performed by an Author, Inspirational Speaker, and Performance Artist, who overcame a debilitating heroin addiction, abusive relationships and more, I am a testament that we can overcome it all and go on to do great things.
In the written and vocal traditions of Sonja Sanchez and J. California Cooper to Nina Simone and Lauryn Hill, Stanice weaves vivid life-stories with humor, enthusiasm, and emotion that draw in the audience and inspires them to throw off the things that weigh them down, so they can be free and empowered to conquer low self-esteem, doubt and inertia.
I believe that secrets grow in the dark; but die in the light of exposure, so I offer my own stories, songs and poetry as well as pieces from historically renowned Black authors, poets, and entertainers.
If requested, a separate after-the-performance interactive workshop can be arranged with me for discussion which encourages those in attendance to share some of their stories in a safe pressure-free environment — A great way to start life-changing dialogue.
If you seek a dynamic and unforgettable performance for your church, school, business, facility or gathering that will leave your audience inspired, uplifted, and empowered, book WOW!
I am also an Inspirational Speaker and Workshop Presenter.
